Goodner Engagement Session ~ Tulsa Wedding Photographer ~

Who doesn’t like the idea of a romantic picnic? The other day I was driving around and I spotted this field with six foot tall grass and I knew I had to find an excuse to shoot there! Days later one of my clients contacted me about shooting their engagement session and BAM I knew I had the opportunity. I pitched them on the idea of this romantic picnic scene and they loved it. I picked sunset for the time and my beloved Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR as my weapon. Right away I fell into a good rhythm and then my favorite lens or the past 5 years died in my hands. There was literally a glass element in the interior of the lens that had come loose and was spinning and sliding freely inside. For a good thirty seconds I was distraught (although my clients didn’t see the impact). Once I came back to reality I quickly pulled out the trusty 85 f/1.4 which you can’t make a bad shot with! I fell back into rhythm and we wrapped the shoot in a total of 20 minutes.

Now I just have to figure out how to repair my 70-200…
